Seamoht Ltd is a leading environmental consultancy founded and managed by Dr. Thomas Maes, a highly experienced professional with a diverse educational background and a proven track record in environmental management, policy development, and scientific research. Dr. Maes combines expertise in marine biology, ecotoxicology, civil engineering, and environmental science to provide innovative solutions for global environmental challenges.

Dr. Maes' career began in 2005 when he worked as an Environmental Manager for Jan De Nul on significant international projects, including the Palm Islands and the Ras Laffan gas terminal. His career then led him to the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) in the UK, where he served as Principal Scientist. There, he coordinated national and international marine programmes and advised the UK Government on key environmental issues, including contaminants, waste, and pollution.

In 2020, Dr. Maes established his consultancy to provide expert advice on tackling pollution, waste management, and marine litter. Through Seamoht Ltd, he supports global policy development under UN frameworks like UNEA and the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions, while also assisting developing countries with capacity building and research on pollution sources and impacts.
